Visiting The Bonneville Salt Flats

The Salt Flats have been on my bucket list to visit for YEARS let me tell you. So when I was on my road trip this year I made it a priory to stop at Salt Lake City so I could make the hour drive to the salt flats and this unique place was well with it. 

As you are driving away from Salt Lake City the highway suddenly is right in the middle of fields of salt on both sides ( its truly amazing) some parts of the salt flats were even pink which you will see some pictures of. 

Can you drive on the salt flats? 

Yes!! The important thing is to never drive on the salt flats when they are wet or its flooded because you will get stuck. So on your trip just be aware of the wether- but I record driving on the salt flats it was one of my favorite things on the trip!
