First Congrats! I know this isn’t how you saw your ending to your senior year, but through everything- you are finished with a chapter of your life. I know graduation comes with all sorts of emotions ( trust me, I’ve been there). Some of you are excited to begin your new chapter. Some of you may still be figuring out your plans ( which is PERFECTLY okay, don’t let anyone tell you it’s not). Some of you may be nervous about starting at a new school or job. Some of you may already be starting your career. Whatever your plan maybe for the next few years of your life- cherish it.
The following quote best says the advice I want to give all 2020 graduates for starting this “new chapter” of life after high school.
I want you to all think about that- and I mean REALLY THINK about it. So the question is, what are you passionate about?
What is something you love?
What do you want to change in the world?
Who do you enjoy spending your time with?
What brings you happiness?
These are just a few questions to ask yourself when picking a career or a hobby in this “new chapter.” So once you have that answer to my question of ” what sets you, soul, on fire.” I want you to chase after that dream- and trust me along the way doors will close for you. You will probably fail a few times ( a secret it’s OKAY to fail everyone does). The point is you are trying. You are taking chances. You are learning. When you find your passion and work hard towards that dream of yours- things will work out.
My point is to take chances and chase after your dreams. Life will close some doors for you, but it will also open doors for you. You can do this.
