Shelby and Dakota and I actually all grew up together in our small home town of Buckhannon, West Virginia. Fast Forward to a few years and Shelby and I actually attend the same college which is 4 hours away from Buckhannon so Dakota comes up often to visit. Who knew in one day Shepherdstown (which never gets snow like never. ) This snow was the fluffy snow – which isn’t very good for snowball fights or building snowmen- true facts. We all three piled into Dakotas truck and off we went on the sick and snowy roads to an open field in Antietam National Park.
Let me tell you about these two and how they met because its so so cute. Shelby actually always had a crush on Dakota throughout high school and Shelby who is SUPER OUTGOING always tried to talk to him, but he was so shy so the conversation always ended quickly. Then a year or so later they Dakota (less shy) and Shelby (still super outgoing) finally started talking and their love story began. Shelby told me after the session:
“Dakota and I have been through so many scenarios together. Some were hard and relationship-threatening, some were full of thrill and excitement. August 16, 2019 will make two years as a team. I love him with my entire soul and being. He is my best friend, and it has been truly hard being away hundreds of miles at college. I can’t wait until it’s time to marry him and start our own life together; who knows what kind of crazy adventures we’ll get ourselves into.”
These two were CHAMPS in the snow and let me tell you it was cold, but these two stuck through it (all in honor of the cute pictures). They ran, laughed, played in the snow- and the session ended in a complete snow fight. Im so so thankful for these two and their adventurous souls.
