I think everyone knows this, but here’s a little reminder that I am ALLL about the environment and doing our part to make sure future generations can enjoy it. Although I chose to continue photography full time and not go into environmental science ( this is what I got my degree in), I want to help educate everyone on simple things you can do to go green in your life!
Honestly, you might not realize products you buy or the products you use can be switched out for a more eco-friendly version ( which can add up over time).
Soooo let’s get into it…
USE REUSABLE BAGS INSTEAD OF PLASTIC BAGS WHEN SHOPPING.
I think this is the biggest one for me, and it’s SO EASY even if you start using paper bags over plastic.. anything over the dreaded plastic bags.
USE REUSABLE SNACK BAGGIES INSTEAD OF PLASTIC
I think we see a trend here… there are SO many alternatives to plastic now that are more eco-friendly and sustainable than just “use it once,” and then it goes to a landfill. I really love stasher bags for reusable sandwich bags ( they are super easy to clean)
USE A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE INSTEAD OF BUYING PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES.
A big one ( plus you can find some SUPER cute water bottles instead of the ugly plastic waterbottles), so let that be the reason ahaah. On a serious note, plastic bottles require over 700 years to break down, and if you say well, we can recycle them.. 80% of water bottles don’t get recycled. So you can go on Amazon, find yourself a BPA-free water bottle, and just fill up instead of buying plastic bottles.
